About Us

Hi, we're Debarratii and Debanjali; Sinha sisters, tea-lovers, and the hearts behind Vastraa Kathaa. 

Our little dream began the way most good things do, at home, over cups of tea, endless conversations, and a shared love for beautiful sarees.

Growing up in Bengal, sarees have always been a part of who we are. But over time, we realized how difficult it had become to find sarees that were both truly good in quality and fairly priced, without endless searching or settling for less. And somewhere in that thought, a dream took shape.

For Debarratii, this has been a long-cherished wish, to build something of her own, close to her heart. So, while she continues her journey in the corporate world at Accenture, together we created Vastraa Kathaa, the space where our hearts truly belong.

The name means the story of fabric, because to us, every saree carries a story worth telling. We work closely with trusted weavers and wholesalers across Bengal and Assam, so that each piece you find here reflects authentic craftsmanship, at a price that feels just right.
